WHO we are
We're a Portuguese company active in the areas of communications technologies, amplified event management and translation, and we're certified by the International Standard of Quality ISO 17100:2015.
We're members of the Portuguese Association and the International Associations of Translators and Translation Companies.
Since 1998 we've been supporting companies in their digital transformation by implementing multilingual event management technologies and services, audiovisual equipment rental, translation, transcription, interpretation and subtitling, and most recently the technological services of website, software and app localization, multilingual SEO and multilingual content management.
In practice, the AP | ACADEMY internship programme is AP | PORTUGAL Tech Language Solutions' pedagogical mission, our commitment to training rising talents in the exciting world of the translation industry.
AP | ACADEMY is the result of CEO Mário Júnior's desire to reinvest in the world of translation the enthusiasm that led him to the profession and to the decision, more than 20 years ago, to found AP | PORTUGAL Tech Language Solutions.
A conference interpreter with vast experience in and knowledge of diverse realities across the globe, Mario set a goal when he created AP | ACADEMY: to attract and retain the greatest talent from a professional area with a huge future.
The project also benefits from the supervision and critical eye of Eugénio Rodrigues, our human resources director. He is also a basketball coach with experience in several countries and is a one-time national champion and winner of the Portuguese Cup.
Finally, AP | ACADEMY is the result of the enthusiasm and dedication of all those who enter through the door of AP | PORTUGAL Tech Language Solutions, driven by a passion for the world of language service and technology companies.
During your six-month internship—in Porto or virtually from other parts of Portugal, Belgium, Spain, France, the United Kingdom or anywhere else in the world—you'll be not only the talent we want to attract, but also the brilliant professional we want to retain in the stimulating world of translation companies.

WHERE we are
By choosing AP | ACADEMY, you'll have the opportunity to do your internship in a Portuguese company active in the areas of communications technologies, amplified event management and translation. Additionally, if you do your internship in-person, the only thing between the headquarters of AP | PORTUGAL Tech Language Solutions and Porto, the city chosen Best European Destination three times, is the Douro River. It's hard to imagine a better place!
Located near the cultural and historical centre of Vila Nova de Gaia, a prime and easily accessible location, our headquarters are a short distance from metro and train stations and only 20 minutes away from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport.
OUR facilities
AP | PORTUGAL has ample facilities, with a modern decor and a relaxed atmosphere waiting for you, as well as several rooms and individual working areas.
Loft of Words is our modern office, a technology centre in a literary warehouse where sleeve garters have been replaced by screens, voiceover and subtitling studios, a remote interpretation centre and more! If you'd like to bring a meal, we have a pantry where you'll be able to store and heat up your food, so you'll feel right at home.
